Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation

The Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation (SBVJF) is marking its 27th anniversary in 2025, and the 22nd year of sending VocalPoint Jazz education teams into Santa Barbara County schools to share the joy of jazz singing with young students. Over the past quarter century, more than 5,000 area school children have experienced the fun, excitement and growth that jazz can bring. VocalPoint educators visit both public and private elementary schools throughout the school year to conduct a highly successful seven-week residency program called "Journey Through Jazz," which culminates in student performances, including one by Vieja Valley Elementary 5th & 6th graders at the Lobero Theatre in February 2024.
