Accessibility at EventVault
Last Reviewed: August 8, 2026
EventVault, a publication of Caffeine Group LLC, is built to be usable by everyone — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, and other assistive technologies.
1. Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which includes and builds on WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
2. Current status
EventVault is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We are working through a remediation plan, and this statement reflects our honest current state.
3. Known limitations
We would rather tell you where we fall short than let you discover it:
- Photographs in galleries are described by the gallery they belong to, not individually. Where someone has written a description for a specific image we use it; otherwise a photo is announced as the gallery name and its position. That tells you what you are looking at, but not what is in the picture.
- Video embedded from third-party services such as YouTube may lack accurate captions or audio description. We check for captions before featuring video, and we link out rather than embed where captions are unavailable.
- Maps have limited keyboard support. Every venue's full address and directions link is available as text on the same page, providing the same information.
4. If something doesn't work, tell us — and we'll get you what you need another way
If any part of EventVault is difficult or impossible for you to use, contact us and we will help you directly. We can look up event details, complete a registration, or provide any information on the site by email or phone.

We respond within 2 business days.
Please tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do, and which assistive technology and browser you were using, if you know. Every report is read by a person and goes onto our remediation list.
5. Our remediation plan
These are commitments, not claims about work already completed:
- Manual keyboard and screen reader testing across the core journeys — search, filtering, event detail, and account creation
- Asking contributors for a description when they upload a photograph, so that individual images can be described rather than numbered
- Building accessibility into shared design components, so that a fix applies across the site rather than one page at a time
- Introducing automated accessibility checks into our development process
6. Third-party content
Some content on EventVault is supplied by event organizers, venues, and other users. We ask our partners for accessibility information and remediate what we can, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of content we did not create. If third-party content on our site is inaccessible to you, contact us and we will provide the information directly.
