Victorian Vogue: State Street Ballet Gala 2026

Step back in time, into a world of gothic glamor and dark opulence as State Street Ballet invites you to celebrate 32 years of artistry, community, and imagination, honoring long-time board member and past president Roger Thompson. Inspired by the season opener Dracula, a dark shadow, guests are invited to a splendid salon where high art meets the hauntingly beautiful. Highlights include an hour of spirited libation with live music and Victorian fashions modeled by dancers; an exclusive performance at Hahn Hall featuring George Balanchine's Serenade (performed in memory of Arlyn Goldsby), an original excerpt from Dracula, a dark shadow choreographed by Nicolas Blanc with music by Philip Glass, and Kassandra Taylor Newberry's FOLD; a paddle raise and silent auction; and dinner and dessert beneath a moonlit sky. The event is known to sell out and early reservation is encouraged.
