Presented by UCSB Arts & Lectures. TOTEM: Void and Height, directed, choreographed and designed by Ushio Amagatsu. Legendary Butoh choreographer Ushio Amagatsu offers a final meditation on memory, nature and the passage of time in TOTEM. Performed by the internationally acclaimed Sankai Juku, the work unfolds through the company's signature blend of sculptural movement, visual precision and hypnotic stillness. Created shortly before Amagatsu's death in 2024, TOTEM stands as the culminating statement of one of contemporary dance's most influential visionaries. The Granada Theatre is the venue for this rental event; programming and promotion are managed by the presenting organization. Ticket prices include a $7 Granada Facility Fee. An additional Granada web service fee of $3 per ticket will be applied at seat selection.
