In a compelling season-closing performance, State Street Ballet and the Santa Barbara Symphony, Nir Kabaretti, Music and Artistic Director, join forces once more for an exciting triple bill. The program features a performance of Brahms Symphony No. 3 by the Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra, a world premiere by Nilas Martins and Megan Philipp set to Samuel Barber's String Quartet No. 1 in B Minor.
Then concludes with Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, a bold, theatrical ballet of rivalry and desire, choreographed by George Balanchine and set to Richard Rodgers' jazzy score. The Granada Theatre is the venue for this rental event. Programming and promotion are managed by the presenting organization. Ticket prices include a $7 Granada Facility Fee. An additional Granada web service fee of $3 per ticket will be applied at seat selection.
