Timo Nuñez Arte Flamenco

Timo Nuñez Arte Flamenco continues the legacy of María Bermúdez and Linda Vega in training the next generation of artists in the Santa Barbara community. The downtown studio has been a supportive environment for flamenco exploration for over three decades. Our accomplished teachers have been trained by some of the leading artists in the world in Santa Barbara, Spain and beyond. Award-winning artist Timo Nuñez returns to his hometown of Santa Barbara to inspire a love of dance. He first put on his dance shoes at the Linda Vega Dance Studio, studied in Spain with artists such as Farruquito, and began a successful, worldwide career. Featured on World of Dance (NBC), So You Think You Can Dance (Fox), and as a consultant on Dancing with the Stars (ABC), he has established broad recognition for his work with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Carlos Santana, Debbie Allen, and Placido Domingo. The studio's mission is to provide an authentic, inclusive environment for dance education that encourages confidence, technical skill, individuality and lifelong learning, and it strives to support the community through participation in the arts, especially during Old Spanish Days Fiesta. It partners with the nonprofit Flamenco! Santa Barbara, led by artistic director María Bermúdez, bringing tuition assistance opportunities, an artist-in-residence program, outreach, music education and year-round performances.
