Charles Lloyd and Bill Frisell first joined forces in 2013 for a special project in Montreal. Their connection was immediate and the joy of making music together has endured. Over the years that followed, Bill has toured and recorded with Charles in various formations; duo, trio, quartet and quintet. Their recordings together include I Long to See You, Tone Poem, and Chapel Trio on Blue Note Records. For his 21st return to the Lobero, Charles has assembled a dream quartet; along with Bill are renowned bassist, Larry Grenadier and the rising young star on drums, Kweku Sumbry.
