Selah Dance Collective, founded and led by artistic director Meredith Cabaniss (also credited as Meredith Ventura/Cabaniss Ventura), is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization established in 2014. The company is dedicated to the belief that dance, as all art, is a right, not a privilege. Selah creates and performs original choreographic works, often exploring literary, philosophical, and emotional themes, and has been reviewed extensively by outlets such as the Santa Barbara Independent, American Riviera Media, and The Channels. The company performs at venues such as the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara.
