Flamenco! Santa Barbara

Flamenco! Santa Barbara is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization rooted in expanding opportunities for audiences to engage with the art of flamenco through student scholarships, educational programming, and dynamic performances that enrich Santa Barbara's cultural landscape. Its Artistic Director, Maria 'LA Chacha' Bermudez, has performed at venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Lope de Vega in Sevilla, Lincoln Center, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and now shares flamenco with the Santa Barbara community through performances and educational experiences, collaborating with Timo Nuñez Arte Flamenco and artists worldwide. The organization was founded by Linda Vega, a renowned flamenco artist who toured extensively with Spain's top companies beginning in 1973. The organization is led by a Board of Directors including Monique Leon-Ward (President), Carol Ibarra (Secretary), Loretta Reynolds (Treasurer), and Linda Vega (Founder), along with an Advisory Board.
