Beautification Day
presented by Montecito Association
Beautification Day is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th. Check-In begins at 9am in the Upper Village (in front of Tecolote Book Shop). After picking up trash in the community, everyone gathers again in the Upper Village for awards, a hot dog/chili lunch prepared by the Montecito Firefighters, and live music, while mingling with community partners and fellow neighbors. This Beautification Day, Montecito's six districts will go head-to-head in a friendly trash pick-up competition, each led by a Montecito Association board captain. There will also be a special beautification project along the Hammonds Beach Trail. A Children's Art Gallery will feature posters created by young artists on the theme "Our Village, Our Home," displayed in local shop windows the week leading up to the event.
