“Tiler Peck’s dancing is distinguished by its musicality, speed and precision.” The New York Times

“With his emphasis on everyday people and their movement vernacular and his brilliant use of speed and athleticism and conceptual clarity, Robbins set the tone for American dance in the latter half of this century.” The Washington Post

The Joyce Theater’s Ballet Festival comes to Santa Barbara for a special West Coast edition. Superstar New York City Ballet Principal Tiler Peck curates and dances in this two-night tribute to the legendary choreographer Jerome Robbins. Robbins’ groundbreaking fusion of ballet and jazz created a distinctly American style that reshaped the art form. Performances will include A Suite of Dances danced by Tiler Peck, the first woman to perform this iconic role created by Jerome Robbins for Mikhail Baryshnikov.

The two distinct and thrilling programs will feature an international cast of principal dancers from New York City Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and other top-tier dance companies. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the greatest ballet dancers in the world performing together over the course of two unforgettable nights.
