Our Mission

The Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach has been founded to promote the common good and general welfare of seniors, veterans, and at-risk communities in the Santa Ynez Valley by providing nutritional, recreational, and transportation resources.

History

For more than 45 years, SYV Community Outreach has been dedicated to serving the Santa Ynez Valley, ensuring that no one in our community goes without essential support. What began as a small effort to assist local seniors and families has grown into a lifeline for thousands of individuals in need.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for our services surged, highlighting just how vital our programs are to the well-being of our community. In 2020 alone, our food program grew by 174%, followed by another 10% increase in 2021. Today, our grocery program serves more than 1,500 people each week, providing nutritious food and critical resources to those facing hardship.
